NEW GenX® 260 square port LS7 aluminum cylinder heads from Trick Flow® are the best choice for your LS-based performance build for several reasons.

The A356-T6 aluminum castings feature more material for increased rigidity and strength. Factory LS7 port locations, valve angles, and valve locations have been maintained to work with existing intakes and pistons.

One-piece modular, 2024-T4 billet aluminum rocker arm mounts enhance valvetrain stability and are removable for shaft rocker setups.

High flow, high velocity CNC Competition Ported runners with the premium high resolution surface finish provide all-out air flow and performance throughout the entire powerband.

Plus there's clearance for 3/8" pushrods and through-deck coolant holes that fit all GM LS gasket and block combinations, Trick-Alloy powdered-metal valve guides, and solid stem valves.

Fully assembled heads also include Trick Flow® by PAC Racing Pacaloy™ valve springs, steel or titanium spring retainers, die forged steel valve locks, and stainless steel valves.

Pricing varies approx. $2400

Cam Harness
This harness allows the cam sensor used on the front of a LS2 motor to be plugged into the LS1 cam sensor connector located at the back of the intake manifold. This harness is perfect for LS2 motor conversions. Compatible with the PCM harness in C5 LS1 Corvette and F-Body cars.

Knock Harness
This harness allows the single-wire LS1 knock sensors located on top of the LS1 manifold to be relocated on both sides of the LS2 block and plugged into the factory LS1 PCM harness. It has the perfect added length and thermal protection required to be routed near hot exhaust manifolds. Compatible with the PCM harness in C5 LS1 Corvette and F-Body cars.

Drilling and tapping to relocate the LS1 knock sensors is required.

This harness allows the dual-wire LS2 knock sensors located on side of the LS2 engine block to be plugged into the factory LS1 PCM harness.  It has the perfect added length and thermal protection required to be routed near hot exhaust manifolds. Compatible with the PCM harness in LS1 Corvette and F-Body cars.

KEY FEATURES: - Fully Plug and Play with the factory harness & sensors
- Military spec. high-temperature Teflon wire (same type used on oxygen sensors)
- High-temperature (1200F) heat treated fiberglass protective loom
- High-temperature factory-type Nylon sensor connectors
- All connections crimped using our computerized crimp-quality monitoring system and then circuit checked for the utmost in reliability.

The Lingenfelter TRG-002 module allows Gen IV GM V8 engines with the 58x crankshaft trigger or reluctor wheel and the 4x camshaft timing gear to be installed in earlier vehicles designed to accept the 24x crankshaft trigger wheel and the 1x camshaft trigger wheel without having to take the engine apart to change the cam timing gear or the crankshaft reluctor wheel.

The Lingenfelter TRG-002 is a plug-and-play design that connects directly to your existing wiring harness and to the factory engine sensors and has its own power source harness. Some early Gen IV V8 engine equipped vehicles that will need a camshaft sensor extension harness.

TRG-002 Key Features
• Fully encapsulated (potted) construction for increased durability
• High temperature glass filled Nylon low profile case
• Transient voltage and over voltage protection have been incorporated into the design to
accommodate the ever increasing electrical demands of modern vehicle control systems.

In an LS1/2/6 heads it is hard to beat AFR, their heads always excel and the cathedral port is proven to make more low RPM torque there better street performance acceleration. I use their 230cc head on a 415 CID LS3 block and made 632Hp at 6200 RPM

Hot Rod Magazine test a bunch of LS7 heads and concluded the power differences were minimal, thus my conclusion is first consider price.

HRM decide not to publish the dyno results online but did state that once again the MAST Black Label heads perform best.

So a little digging and I found MAST show the page from the magazine that feature them.

If you look you will see the $2300 stock LS7 heads made 662Hp @ 6900 RPM

where as the $3640 MAST heads made 686Hp

I am working on obtaining flow values for the RHS as cast 291cc heads, but they do look to me to best the better value for the money at $1125 each

The block I use most often is a new LS3 block which cost about $1600 With a 4" stroke make 415CID
The lower cost option is a re-machine LQ9 iron block costing about $900 4" stroke .030" over bore 408CID For more CID A new LS7 block allows me to go to as much as 440CID $3000 Here is an EngineLabs article on aftermarket blocks

LS7 19257881 CNC Ported Heads are the best choice to maximize power in a GM casting

$1600 each

LS7 12578449 Heads have a larger port located a little higher and 12 degree valves and will flow about the same as ported ls3 for $800 more

Hard to beat this deal $200 buys you about 352 CFM intake side at .600 lift.
